Stylish Hotels

Aqua Lotus at Diamond Head
An oasis of tranquility, the Lotus is located in a park setting fifteen minutes walking distance from the Waikiki scene.  This property is one of our absolute favorites!  Rooms here are very spacious and furnished in a simple Balineese style. All have  furnished lanais.  Our favorite category here is the ocean view premium, which is on a higher floor and offers views of both the water and breathtaking Diamond Head. Located a block from less crowded Sans Souci beach,  the staff will even lend you beach chairs and mats.  This fifty room boutique hotel was formerly a W hotel.

Larger Hotels

Embassy Suites
Very popular choice in Waikiki, as all accomodations come with both a living area and a seperate bedroom.  This modern property anchors the popular new "Beachwalk" with plenty of shopping and dininng venues.  Rates here include a full breakfast buffet plus nightly happy hour.   Nice pool on property, and easy walk to the beach.

Value Hotels

Aqua Park Shore Waikiki
An excellent choice just around the corner from Waikiki's legendary Hula's.  We especially like the oceanview and oceanfront rooms at the Park Shore, with their private lanais and spectacular views of the blue Pacific and Diamond Head.  There's a second story pool deck overlooking the beach directly accross the street.

A Hawaii Hotel room primer:

Room categories at Honolulu hotels: "Broadly speaking," and it does vary by individual properties (just ask) here's how it works -  Cityview room: No water view, often on lower floors  Mountainview room: In high rise hotels, they are generaly located on a higher floor.  Some have view of canal. Partial oceanview room:  You can see the ocean, but usually only from your lanai.  Oceanview room:  Better view of ocean, sometimes still only visible from from your lanai. Oceanfront room:  You can see the ocean from inside your room  Deluxe oceanfront room:  This is a category used at large hotels and means you can see the ocean from your room and will usually be on a higher floor.  In Hawaii a lanai refers to a balcony or patio area.  A condotel is a condominium, but with hotel services, such as a front desk staffed around the clock, and daily maid service.  Many also have restaurants and full hotel staffs.  The properties we represent are also furnished with standard decor packages, just like in a hotel.  Most Hawaii properties offer a mini fridge at the least, and many have microwaves.  Full kitchens are often available, as well as two and three bedroom units.  Not all properties have pools.  Even if they do, you may find them to be smaller than those found on the mainland.  With very few exceptions, there are no "adults only" pools on the island of Oahu.  All beaches in Hawaii are public.  Many, but not all, hotels are non smoking. Non smoking properties also won't let you smoke on your lanai or in public areas.

*Hotel specials subject to availability, prior sale, and do not apply to all room categories.
