Meet Aruba
Sugar sand beaches are just a nonstop flight away. Situated just 15 miles from South America, Aruba lies outside of the "hurricane belt," pretty much insuring great sunny dry weather year round.
Aruba is an island known for spectacular sunsets, jaw dropping hues of blue in the sea, and crystal clear water. The Aruban people are very friendly. You can set off from your hotel to explore and enjoy dining and nightlife. Crime rates are extremely low, and the standard of living is one of the highest in the Caribbean. Aruba is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Not only are LGBTQ travelers welcome, no one really bats an eye.
Because you aren't confined to you hotel or apartment rental, there are fewer all-inclusives on the island. You'll find far more restaurants in all price ranges offering a wide variety of cuisines. While there are some wonderful spots to splurge for a big night out in Aruba, overall food and beverage prices are lower than many other islands in the Caribbean.
Honeymooning or looking for a romantic spot for a vacation? Aruba has several adult's only resorts, as well as adult's only pools.
The Wind Creek Renaissance Resort not only has an adult's only wing and pool, but a private island with a section just for adults with playful pink flamingos. The stylish newly renovated Ren Aruba is a favorite with my LGBTQ clients.
