LOS CABOS 101
Los Cabos is located on the southern tip of Baja California, in western Mexico. There are actually three main areas that make up Los Cabos, or Cabo as the area is also known.
San Jose del Cabo: Just south of the airport, it's a quick transfer to any of the all-inclusives and resorts in the area. The town itself is
a charming and laidback, with plenty of history and colonial architecture. You'll find many artist galleries (Thursday evenings are the popular art walks) and a wide variety of local eateries.
The Tourist Corridor: Twenty miles separate serene San Jose del Cabo and it's wilder sister Cabo San Lucas. The coast between the two is lined with luxurious villa compounds, many four and five star hotels and all-inclusives, plus self-catering apartment communities with full resort amenities. The natural topography of the area is mountainous desert. Some hotels are built into the cliffs, and many resorts offer dramatic views from their grounds.
Cabo San Lucas: The original resort town in Baja California surrounds a harbor with everything from fishing trawlers to super yachts.
This is the lively section of Los Cabos, with a festive variety of restaurants, bars, beach clubs and nightspots. Just west the town is quiet Pedregal area with it's luxury resorts and spectacular hillside views. Ten minutes north is the Diamante complex, home to the Nobu Hotel and the Hard Rock resort.
